We stayed for my birthday...

Liked: Breakfast was very good with lots of choice . We dined in the restaurant at night and the food was exceptional. Friendly and attentive staff always on hand for all your needs .
Disliked: Nothing

Enjoyable

Liked: Location by the river and ample parking
Disliked: Restricted menu, if you were staying for a few days, you wouldn’t want to eat every day as the options were limited, although the food we had was lovely.

Liked: We loved the view from our bedroom (overlooking the river) and from the dining room.

A relaxing ,comfortable break in...

Liked: Breakfast choices were very good. Restaurant meal was excellent and well prepared. The room was spacious and clean, with oak beams and character. Beds were comfortable. The location was very good with views along the river bank. Staff were very helpful and friendly.
Disliked: The hotel felt somewhat understaffed, staff were working reception and back office and restaurant at the same time, leading to some delays eg for retrieving room keys. Soundproofing was not great; we could hear footfall and creaks in overhead floor boards and party noise carried from below. No stepfree access though not a problem for us
