Beautiful location and views, very...
Liked: Our room (R108) was lovely and the location was second to none.
Disliked: 1. There was no bedside table on the right, looking at the bed, so no facility to place a book, kindle, wine glass or cup of tea next to you. 2. The bathroom was lovely but very often in Hotels of this calibre there would be a makeup mirror attached to the wall with an arm so that ladies can put on their makeup. This is a lovely courtesy that many women would appreciate!!3, The breakfast room was very nice but it looked empty and uninviting. The Continental or Äustralian Continental Breakfast'' was very disappointing and in fact was sparse and miserly and insubstantial. Our room cost around $600.00 for the 1 night. Breakfast consisted almost completely of carbohydrate and sugar. Two small plates of cut up fruit and about 6 bottles of varied sugary juices. One small tray of small pastries, one small tray of cereal selection, only 1 (Sultana Bran) contained a level of protein. There was no protein in sight apart from the small amount of yoghurt in the yoghurt and meusli cups (the dried fruit in this meusli was so rock hard that it was unchewable). In Europe or in most top hotels in Sydney, some simple cold cuts of ham, prosciutto or a light salami and lovely light cheese such as Emmental or Australian Tasty would be included with some lovely fresh sourdough bread or fresh croissants for example. The only bread there looked ok but it was already pre-sliced and ready for toasting. There were only a small number of slices on the plate. Everything on the table was small. The breakfast table looked bare and uninviting. Presenting and offering a simple but delicious Continental breakfast to your guests is an easy thing to do.....very little effort needed! Warmth, hospitality and welcoming, delicious foods should be a mantra at a hotel of this potential and calibre and price range. Thank you for the opportunity to give feedback. Luisa and Peter Jessep
