Staff is not friendly and...

Liked: Room was big, had plenty of space just for myself
Disliked: My uber dropped me off from the airport and when I arrived I had a lot of bags with me. The staff saw me arriving with all my bags. Nobody came to help me carry my bags inside. I struggled to open the glass doors. The staff looked at me but nobody came to help me. I walked back and forth with all my bags to the front desk (again, they saw me and nobody helped me). They checked me in and gave me my key. I asked if they had a cart to carry my bags. They pointed me to the back of the lobby where a cart was sitting. Nobody helped me grab the cart or putting my bags on the cart. Nobody asked if I needed help to carry the cart with my bags to my room. When I entered my room there were dirty socks on the floor in the living room. I stayed 2 nights in that room. Unfortunately I forgot some clean underwear, socks, my sports bra and my pyjama in the top drawer in the closet in the entry. I called the hotel 10 times in 2 weeks and asked each time that someone goes to the room and check the top drawer in the closet in the entry, each time the person I talked to said they would check and call me back. Nobody ever called me back. I called 10 times and asked 10 times the same thing. After 2 weeks of calling one person told me on the phone that they found my stuff and forwarded the call to the cleaning team. The person on the cleaning team was new and told me her manager would call me back about my stuff later that day. nobody called me back. Finally after 2.5 weeks I call them one last time and the person I talked to called the lost and found, talked to the cleaning crew and went to check in the room. He could not find my stuff but he actually asked everyone and he is the only one in 10 people that actually called me back. Very very disappointed of my stay and very disappointed of the staff during and after my stay. Do not recommend this hotel.

Liked: - Convenient Happy Valley location- In-room washer/dryer and dishwasher add home-like convenience- Comfortable bed ensures good rest- Good quality TV setup- Efficient air conditioning- Helpful, friendly staff- Several dining options within walking distance or short drive (Lobster, Mexican, Culver's)- Free parking- Generally quiet atmosphere (neighbor-dependent)
Disliked: - AC unit is notably loud- Limited walkability in the surrounding neighborhood- Rates can be on the higher side- Area isn't particularly pedestrian-friendly- WiFi not reliable— several times when it did not support video conferencing

Very nice hotel, but beware...

Liked: Really nice place and very clean. We only stayed 2 nights but this would be a great place for extended stays. Washer/dryer in the room! Also a full kitchen. Staff was very friendly.
Disliked: The property is in north Phoenix, so a bit far from downtown. Also, beware, I paid for the reservation on booking.com a few days ahead of our stay, only to find out after returning home that the hotel charged our credit card AGAIN for the stay upon checkout. I tried to resolve the problem via email, but got no response. When I called the hotel and explained, the lady I talked to resolved the problem and issued a refund, but I wonder if this happens a lot and people don't realize?

Disliked: They charged the room on my creditcard on the booking date and charged the room again on the checking out date, both on the same creditcard. No response on my messages to please refund one of these nights. Shameful, never happened to me in The States or with Booking.com
