Built in 1700 and overlooking the pier this family-run hotel is close to the town center the bus and train stations golf fishing and is 8 miles from Dover ferry port. Waterfront Hotel is a cozy period hotel with helpful friendly staff willing to help. Single double triple and family rooms are available some of which are en suite. The property has a long history as a hotel. It is thought that Admiral Nelsons crew frequented the hotel during the 1700's. Located directly in front of Deal's pier the hotel has panoramic views out to the Goodwin Sands and the coast of France. Guests are invited to relax with a coffee in the lounge and appreciate the view. The lounge Bar and some of the rooms have wonderful sea views. The hotel does not have a elevator.

Prime location, friendly staff -...

Liked: The staff were brilliant: helpful, very friendly throughout, and even offered to check if my room was ready even though I had arrived much earlier. The room was ready, they put the heat on to warm it up, and I checked in early, rather than just leaving my luggage. The location is great, opposite the pier and close to the town. The breakfast was great and I had a very comfortable 2-night stay. Thank you!
Disliked: I don't recall anything I especially didn't like. I was on the 2nd floor, and the steps might be a bit steep and narrow for some. Perhaps the mattress was a tad soft, but some will like that. So no complaints from me.

Liked: Great room with sea view. Breakfast included juice, cereal, 'full English' and toast/real butter!
Disliked: No criticisms.
