Very disappointed

Liked: The young lady that greeted us was lovely, the room was awful , dark dingey curtains that neither fitted nor were clean , windows disgustingly dirty, shower cubicle horrible dirty only 1 out the 4 of us used it , carpet dirty and old , tea making station dusty and unkempt, shower room door doesn't close correctly, room door didn't fit correctly, have stayed at waterfront in the past but this is clearly the worst room they could have offered us , the only saving grace was the young lady and the breakfast which was passable. I was embarrassed that I took my grandchildren there for a night at the seaside

Liked: Our room no. 12 was disgusting. The carpet hadnt been hoovered, with what looked like dog hairs all over it. The edges of the carpet had a build up of fluff where it hadn't been hoovered with the nozzle. The drawers didn't close, as much as you pushed them in they kept opening.The shower door was broke and very dirty round the edges. The shower water just dribbled out. Gaps in the window. 3 heaters in the room where it must get so cold.When we booked it the pictures and reviews said otherwise. The breakfast was very nice.

Definitely not a 3 star...

Liked: The property in a good location however the cleanliness standards in the room leave a lot to be desired. The en-suite bathroom was appalling the main light did not work which l reported direct to the owner but nothing was done. The light above the shower was disgustingly and black dirt kept falling from it and you could see it had not been cleaned or maintained for years. The hotel advertises a room daily maid service but in 4 days my room was not cleaned. I only went down for breakfast on the first day which was enough, only half the menu was available and when l ordered poached eggs on white toast only to have the waitress come back and inform me they had ran out of white bread and l could only have brown. The breakfast cereals were stale and the coffee was appalling. The hotel says it has a restaurant and bar but in my stay it was not opened except for a few hours at the lunch time of Mother’s Day. This hotels advertises its self as a 3 star hotel, in my opinion it is only worth 2 stars at best. I will definitely not be going back and would not recommend this hotel. The owner seams to be happy taking your money for very little return in standards and service.
