Excellent welcoming hotel in a...

Liked: The room was very quiet, beautifully decorated, the bathroom was large with good water pressure, and the bed was very comfortable. The room temperature was great, too. The location was across the street from Washington Square Park and very near the subway. It was fantastic all around. I can't wait to return on my next overnight to NYC.

I loved my stay here....

Liked: Staff was incredibly nice and accommodating. I arrived off a red eye flight before 7am planning to have them store my bag, and instead they checked that the room that was available right away and gave me my key! It was wonderful to be able to freshen up before heading off into the city. My room was perfect for my needs, including the very comfortable bed. And the location was fantastic, so close to everything the West Village has to offer.
Disliked: Nothing.

Enjoyable, comfortable, safe, charming.

Liked: The old school charm from a different era. It was not a cookie cutter hotel. The staff was exceptional. The friendliest staff I have ever experienced at a stay at a hotel that was not on a Caribbean island resort . Extremely comfortable bed. Great water pressure . Loved the location. Close to NYU.
Disliked: The only thing missing was a garbage can in the room besides a garbage can in bathroom.

Disliked: The pot smokers and homeless people in the park outside

Liked: The area as well as the price performance was incredible.
Disliked: I didn‘t like that there where no spoons and paper cups instead of glass or real cups.

Location and several subway points

Liked: The location is close to NYU, Wasghington Square Park and Christopher street/Stone wall. Lots of restaurants, standing comedy clubs and pubs. Close to subway stations. There is a great place for breakfast bagels within reach of hotel.
Disliked: Our room faced the facade renovation but we were out most of the day, so it did not affect us at all. We were told of the ongoing renovation 2 days prior to check in back in December..
