Staff very helpful and friendly.

A bit of countryside in...

Liked: Very comfortable bed. Lovely shower. Nice pool. Small but we'll rquipped gym. Excellent breakfast.
Disliked: Carpets in some public areas were a bit tatty. The lighting in the wardrobe was very odd - some parts were so bright you couldn't see anything on the top shelf.

Disappointing

Liked: The room was lovely and clean. Very quiet. Beautiful looking place.
Disliked: The staff were not very helpful or knowledgeable. The receptionist stood with his hand in his pocket when dealing with me. I struggled with understanding the Receptionist and the young gentleman serving in the restaurant, which made me feel uncomfortable, communication between staff was very poor. We asked for ice to be brought to our room, it never arrived, so had to chase that up.It's definitely the staff that let this hotel down.

We like the location and...

Liked: We stay at this hotel every year so know what to expect. However, for the first time did not stay in the main building but really liked our room in the annex.They finally seem to be spending money on renovations.
Disliked: The lounge area is not particularly comfortable but may be part of the renovations. We do not eat dinner or linger too long in the evenings at the hotel due to lack of atmosphere.
