A wonderful stay in a...

Liked: Room was large had character and charm and was extremely comfortable, Evening menu was extensive and our meals were delicious . Breakfast , great choice on the menu served alongside continental breakfast which included fresh croissants, fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal and toast.

Perfect location . Comfortable ....

Liked: The hotel was decorated stylishly . The room heating was great . It was a very cold weekend . Was in a perfect location with small niche shops nearby. Plenty of restaurants and cafes. A lovely gesture was fresh milk for tea in a fridge on the landing . Very unusual and most welcome . Very substantial breakfast everyone catered for.
Disliked: A minor gripe no fresh orange at breakfast .

Quite expensive for one nights...

Liked: A lovely old building
Disliked: Room 1 needs updating. Although clean it did smell like an old grannies house. Tiles on bathroom floor were cracked and very slippery when wet. Quite a few cracks in the ceiling and coving that must have had a million coats of paint on them to hide it. A lot of areas need a bit of TLC.

Liked: The staff were all excellent; professional, friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good with plenty of options. Our welcome was exceptional.
Disliked: The web site at the time of booking showed that there was a sitting room and this influenced our choice as it was very important to us (there was no sitting room).

Liked: Friendly staff, cosy bar, nice dining room, cosy room, good shower, clean, right in the village. Lovely evening meal, good wine, fabulous breakfast.
