Cosy business stopover
Liked: Superconvenient and cheap, clean, 24 hour staff, left luggage facility (at own risk), front facing rooms have a view of the clock tower at St Pancras station
Disliked: Be aware: there is no lift so you need to be in good shape, there is no breakfast but plenty of facilities and shops close by. I have stayed here many times, and as long as you are prepared for these it's a wonderful stay

Pleasant
Liked: Comfortable bed, easy check-in, good location
Disliked: It's very simple and the decor needs updating. No lift. Bathroom sink was very small and the night was quite noisy. But it's ok for a single night after a day in the city

Hotel room wasn’t the most...

Perfect bed for the night...
Liked: We've stayed at the Wardonia several times, which shows that we must like it somewhat. I'll be honest, as I've probably said in my last review of the hotel, we use it because (a) it's reasonably priced and (b) it's very convenient for St Pancras and Kings Cross. This last is very important to us, as we basically use the Wardonia as somewhere to leave our bags, use the toilet, and have a sleep and a shower between getting off the coach to London and catching the Eurostar next morning. For this, the place is ideal. Yes, the rooms are small, yes the shower room is compact, but the bed is comfy, the toilet is clean, the towels dry you, the telly works, and it's warm. The staff are welcoming and friendly, rooms are easy to find, and it's five minutes walk in a straight line to St Pancras. There isn't a kitchen or restaurant, but you're in London. There are shops and restaurants and pubs whichever way you turn. If you don't feel like looking too hard, there are loads in St Pancras, and the Brunswick Centre is not far down the road. You probably wouldn't want to spend a lot of your waking time in the room, but again, you're in London. Go to the pictures, or the theatre, or the British Museum, or the Foundling Museum (both just a short walk away), or just go and see the sights. If all you want is a reasonably priced bed for the night while you wait for a train or after a show, the Wardonia is perfectly adequate.
Disliked: I'll be honest, for our purposes, I couldn't fault the place. If you want a nice luxury suite where you can entertain your friends, you won't get it here, but the Wardonia doesn't really pretend to be anything other than what it is- a cheap bed for the night with an ensuite toilet.
