Overpriced and dreadful

Liked: Overpriced, dripping tap all night and dirty bath. Checkin staff lovely. For such a beautiful building and grounds the interior is bland, dated and smells of cooking throughout. Would not recommend

Very good

Liked: Stayed here before - good location, with clean rooms and good wifi. Breakfast is also good and plentiful, so no complaints
Disliked: Not an issue for me but the annex is quite a walk from the main hotel and could be offputting for some people, especially in the dark

Run by lazy and extremely...

Liked: The grounds were the only nice thing about this property but given their level of hygiene that won’t last!
Disliked: This was one of my worst stays for a long time and I stay away weekly! My son joined me so I had a booked with breakfast what an absolute mistake! The first room I was given had to be driven to because apparently they don’t have twin beds in the main hotel? when I got there both beds were broken and I mean not a single spring was left in the middle of the bed! I’ve never had such a bad! They did give me another room in the same block that was a drive there and back again! The beds were better but still awful! There was used soap in the bathroom and when we went for breakfast there were ants in the orang juice and all over the table where the juice dispensers were - all the food was totally dried up and had skins all over them where they had been left. They only loved the juice when I pointed out! It was like they all couldn’t be bothered to do anything!

Lovely stay

Liked: Beautiful grounds and house, rooms all very good. On our first morning a herd of deer walked right in front of us, made our day. We ate breakfast both days and was very good
Disliked: Rooms great, beds are medium to firm so a mattress topper would have been a great addition to room
