Ok for one night

Liked: The area is not nice but pretty convenient. Lots of information about Houston are available at the reception.
Disliked: In general I haven't found the price fair for the level that the structure offers.

Lucky selection

Liked: Tiny, cleaned up everywhere. Not far from multiple destinations. Whole building is also beautiful.

SAFETY CONCERN- Be ready to...

Liked: It has a small kitchen. Its inexpensive.
Disliked: No one picks up the emergency number (SAFETY ISSUE) called several times in several days, no answer. They took out the laminated post (see my attached photo) after telling them no one is picking up. 1 bathroom/toilet per floor. I arrived in the property around 11pm, no staff around, gates locked, scared as the location is a bit dodgy and dark. Apparently, they sent me codes the day of my arrival, but i was traveling that day all day with no access to the internet. Im also not informed previously that i have to wait for that email. If i missed it, the communication is not effective. Same thing happened to a guy the next day. Found him outside, waiting, helpless. Around 6pm. It’s still bright but no staff to take care of him. I called the emergency number (its says emergency only) but no one is picking up. Even the numbers listed in website, social media, google maps, we tried, we failed. WhatsApp left unread too. Left message in the answering machine, no one called back up to this point. Next day i spoke to a young lady staff, she said it happens rarely (wow how lucky i am to witness it 2x during a 5 night stay!) and pointed out that i should have done my reading before i travel and should know what’s the city’s emergency number (911), hearing it, i found it condescending as i have traveled around the world and i usually do my due diligence. She mentioned the owners being away for personal reasons and may have not given the phone to the staff. Dusty rooms. Bed squeaks every time you move. All numbers in the website, is unreachable. Power outlet hanging in the wall like it’s about to fall anytime. Squeaky doors. Check the dust on top of the coffee maker! Condescending staff.
