Short but good stay!

Liked: Nice lifestyle boutique hotel close to downtown Houston
Disliked: Room is a little bit small…and no USB outlets for charging our phones

Good for what I needed...

Liked: I liked the really warm welcome received by the hotel team when I arrived. The interior of the main bit of the hotel is great, looks very nice and welcoming and has coffee and tea amenities.
Disliked: Cleanliness in the room was just about passable. The bedsheets and main bathroom bits were clean (so the really important areas) but the floors and corners of the room, the rug, and the headboard bit behind the bed frame and pillows was filthy. The rooms needs a decent clean and I’d say that extends to the communal areas in the kitchen bit (mugs were stuck to the shelves and the kitchen and fridge door handles felt sticky and not clean). Also I tried to check out and leave my bags at reception and there was supposed to be someone at the desk but they were nowhere to be seen. After calling they did come out but it was a bit confusing and not great signage to explain where staff might BRB etc. Also finally great cereal and coffee amenities in kitchen but there were no bowls or spoons. Also it wasn’t clear if milk was going to be replaced upon being used up, if all felt a bit inconsistent.

Liked: If you are like me and you enjoy unique hotels instead of boring, stale ones, then you're in luck with wanderstay Boutique hotel. I loved the decor in the room and bathroom and the bed was so amazing and soft. They even have a pillow bar where you borrow a pillow that helps you sleep better. The area of the hotel is also so convenient as there is a bus stop and metro literally right outside their front door. Loved the stay so much.
Disliked: Everything was great! No complaints

Liked: One thing to note is that Wanderstay is more of an intimate, boutique experience, so don’t expect the same amenities as a big hotel (like 24-hour room service or a gym), but the trade-off is a more personalized and relaxed atmosphere. The staff were super friendly and helpful, always making sure I had what I needed. There's also a neighborhood gym right by the hotel also.Overall, I’d recommend Wanderstay to anyone looking for a cozy and creative place to stay in Houston. It’s perfect for couples or solo travelers who want something different from the typical hotel experience.Also- if you are headed to the convention center, there is a metro just 2 minutes away.

Excellent Stay

Liked: I recently stayed at Wanderstay Boutique Hotel for a weekend getaway, and it was a really pleasant experience. The location is perfect—right in East Downtown Houston, so it was easy to get to some cool restaurants and bars nearby. The hotel itself is small but cozy, with only 10 rooms, which gave it a really intimate vibe.Each room has a unique theme, and the one I stayed in was fun and well-decorated. The bed was super comfortable, and the room was clean and had everything I needed. The hotel is adults-only, which made it feel quiet and peaceful—ideal for a relaxing stay.What I appreciated most was how friendly the staff was. They were super helpful and made sure I had everything I needed during my stay. Also, the booking process was straightforward with no surprise fees, which I really liked.Overall, it’s a great spot if you're looking for a boutique hotel that’s a little different from the usual chains. I'd definitely stay here again next time I'm in Houston!
