Very little value for money.

Liked: Good location, easy parking
Disliked: The house and rooms have clearly been converted from a house into a hotel with minimal investment. Bathroom very cheaply done, separated from the rest of the room by a thin, rickety sliding door, washbasin very low, though (or maybe because) an antique piece of furniture. The TV has been removed from the wall (apparently to foster a communal spirit among guests, in the common lounge room with big screen) and the cable is still sticking out the wall! The room wasn’t made on the second day, nor was any staff visible anywhere. Coffee and tea making facilities are available in the communal breakfast room, and guests are asked to wash up their cups after use! This would be ok in a hostel, but not in a hotel that charges more than 200 A$ a night!

Great stay at the Wandering...

Liked: Hosts Susie and Justin are fantastic. Made us feel very welcome and relaxed. They were super friendly with us during our stay. The room we stayed in was very comfortable, clean, and spacious. The bed was very comfortable. The upstairs dining area was clean (basics supplied), and the guest lounge was comfortable. We had the 'Hosts Table' dinner, which was delicious. Susie and Justin were great hosts. I'll be recommending the Wandering Trout to friends and family when they travel to Tasmania.
Disliked: Nothing.
