The hotel is amazing; the service is attentive as it should be, and the decor is exceptional - attention to every detail. The location is perfect for a special experience. I found it to be very comfortable, and will return.

Liked: The intimate atmosphere.
Disliked: I can think of none.

Very good

Liked: Dinner and bf at the restaurant was great . Good food, nice menu, pleasant space .Location A+++ . Great neighborhood, feels very central to many things to do and great restaurants. Hotel is good though nothing that special , comfortable, nicely decorated, nice lobby/bar area though small . We had a family weekend here and it worked out great .
Disliked: Nothing specific. Ideally would have liked a bigger, brighter, common space/bar to spend time together but not a huge factor.

Overall, I would stay again....

Liked: the breakfast and all food in the restaurant was amazing and I love knowing it's fresh farm to table. UNBELIEVABLE popovers!! The location of the hotel was excellent for my work purposes. The staff was friendly and helpful. Free coffee and water in the lobby is most appreciated.
Disliked: I had two queen size beds and in the pictures online, the rooms look much bigger and brighter than they are. I believe my room was supposed to be for one queen and they moved the beds around to fit a second one. The lighting was totally insufficient - the room was dark and impossible to read at night. The room was so hot and I couldn't get the air to work - when I asked the front desk, they suggested opening the windows. But the temps were well below freezing and this was just not possible to leave windows open.

Lovely Art Deco hotel in...

Liked: Staff were attentive and helpful, and the location is great- Union Square, Quad Cinema, bars/restaurants and the Village in general. Nice view from the room of the Empire State Building, and the breakfast was very good; ditto for the bar drinks on site. Loved all the art deco touches.
Disliked: This is not really a criticism, given actual physics, but the room was small, although clean, compact and working to utilize space well. Had to give up space for hanging clothes, although we were only a weekend stay, so it was not an issue. Breakfast and bar drinks were a bit pricey, although fine quality.

Lovely atmosphere but room was...

Liked: It is a lovely old building, fabulous lobby, comfortable beds, great shower.
Disliked: We had a room with two double beds and the room was incredibly tiny. There were minimal surfaces to put things on, the closet was too small for two peoples clothing, no place to put suitcases, the one bedside table between the two beds was too small for both people to put glasses, phones, water class, etc, the heater was very loud, there were only two very tiny drawers to put clothing...just enough room for one persons socks (5 days worth) and underwear.
