The hotel is amazing; the service is attentive as it should be, and the decor is exceptional - attention to every detail. The location is perfect for a special experience. I found it to be very comfortable, and will return.

Nice overall

Liked: Great location, cozy rooms and lobby, live music in the evening. Overall, nice impression with caveats.
Disliked: The faucet in the room was finicky, providing almost only hot water. The bathroom in general could use an upgrade. Breakfast starts only at 7am.

Friendly comfortable quiet hotel with...

Liked: Very comfortable, my room was quiet, staff quite friendly, lovely lounge area with warm fire and live music most evenings. Good location, friendly and safe. Lovely coffee in the lounge in the mornings.
Disliked: The elevator broke on my first day and took a while to mend, which meant using stairs to come down from 11th floor (it was fine going up)! Then I asked for a coffee machine in my room for the first morning as I knew I’d wake up very early. It didn’t arrive so at 5.30am I phoned reception- no one answered so I went down in my dressing gown to request one! It was delivered but the man had to come back 3 times - each time I had to go downstairs! 1. I asked for caffeinated coffee but he brought decaffeinated !2. When he brought the right coffee, I had noticed there were no cups!3. Also he didn’t bring more than one coffee (one was a sachet of tea!!)Apart from that all was good

Disliked: Heating system was broken, rooms very small, staff unresponsive to getting heat fixed. Smoke alarm was blinking and not fixed
