Located opposite Central Railway Station Wake Up Sydney Central features a lively onsite bar/nightclub and a huge range of free activities. It is set in the heart of Sydney's backpacking hub surrounded by nightlife precincts and travel shops. Wake Up Sydney Backpackers is in Sydney CBD (Central Business District) a 5-minute walk from Chinatown and a 15-minute walk from Darling Harbor. It is 20 minutes' by public transport from Circular Quay where you can walk to the Sydney Opera House and the Sydney Harbor Bridge. Sydney International Airport is a 30-minute drive away. Liked: How close it was to public transit.
Disliked: Rooms are a little too small.

Liked: The location was perfect! The activities that the hostel organised were very fun and also well managed. The hostel is really designed in a modern and pretty way, seems more like a hotel.
Disliked: LOTS of 18 year olds that went with group tours. Apparantly this hostel is the starting point for almost every east-coast group tour package. I felt like a grandma sometimes even though I'm only 21. You can still meet a lot of (older) people though since it's such a big hostel but be warned.
