Liked: I liked that it was a unique experience staying an old, once beautiful home. The staff were very nice.
Disliked: The decor was over the top and too much. Even though the room was decorated extensively, it did have commonly needed things like a spot to put luggage, or a place to put you toiletries while brushing your teeth. It also didn’t smell pleasing, probably due to the old plumbing? The location was walkable to the city 1.3 miles but I didn’t feel entirely safe walking. It will be a memory for us though, whereas if we stayed at a modern hotel on the highway it probably would not. I give the owner a lot of credit for trying to continue lovely traditions.
