Very clean room. The front desk is very courteous and friendly. Would stay here again. Only issue I had was a trashcan was not provided in my room. Assuming cleaning staff just overlooked it.

Disliked: Cold showers every night, the entire space was unavailable except the front foyer, gym, and your room, due to a licensing issue that they didn’t tell you about until after your booking confirmation/payment. When booking it says you can request a bathtub, then onsite they said they only have one room and they put me in it, but it was a wheelchair accessible room which I felt really weird about, so I moved, and the window was literally blocked by a huge piece of the building that they can’t move, so indefinitely blocked. They said it was an “upgrade” it was literally half the size, and I originally booked a more expensive/larger room.. Super weird stay, and for that price point, especially the cold showers for a week, unacceptable. The manager told me the city’s hot water tank is low.. huh!??They gave me a $200 gift card.. rooms are like 400-600/night? Won’t be back

Great location, spacious Room

Liked: Our room was very large for a NYC hotel Nice to have the space since we were there for 6 nights Was an excellent location close to lots of restaurants and shops Loved union square and the energy Easy walking to many other happening neighborhoods in all directions
Disliked: Requested a corner room with a view of union square. They gave us a corner room opposite union square on a lower floor. View wasn’t as great as anticipated

Relaxing and what was needed

Liked: The decor has been amazing and extremely comfortable. Location in the city is good.
Disliked: There was some gunge left in the shower that wasn't cleaned. The restaurant was out of commission for refurbishment which was disappointing.

Overall stay was wonderful and...

Liked: Great location, comfortable rooms and friendly staff, except the breakfast person who gave my daughter a hard time for grabbing our pastries and coffee in the morning. It was my daughters and I staying in the room but we would send one person down every day to grab our breakfast. And he gave her a difficult time. Didn't appreciate that.
Disliked: The renovation aspect. Limited the access we had to the hotel amenities.

Liked: Room was a comfortable size, clean and quiet. Nice lighting, bedding, toiletries.
Disliked: restaurant/dining area was still under construction so not open. The hotel did provide complimentary croissant and coffee to-go in the lobby in the morning though.
