Liked: The entire staff was fantastic. Polite. Efficient. Welcoming. Special shout out to Courtney, although everyone was great. I love the decor. I greatly admire John Lewis so it was great to see him around the place.
Disliked: No free breakfast. Honestly I think it's weird to be charged for coffee and bagels. Especially coffee

Liked: Beautifully and intentionally decorated, friendly staff, central location—walkable to Piedmont Park and Ponce City Market. We really enjoyed the courtyard patio with comfy chairs and fire pits! We were also able to get a late checkout to accommodate our flight time.
Disliked: Not sure how thoroughly the room was cleaned beforehand—behind the sliding door to the bathroom there was a lot of hair and dust, which was easily visible (see photo). This would’ve been easy to clean had someone tried. There were also weird spots/paint chipped on the ceiling of our room (see second photo). These would be easy to paint over but the fact that they weren’t makes me question how well the property is being maintained. The rooms were also tiny and the layout was weird—the toilet and shower were behind a sliding door, which did not feel private. The TV was on the wall to the right side of the bed, so the person on the right side would have to lay on their right side to watch the TV and the person on the left can’t see at all. Not sure what the thought process was there? The room just didn’t really feel functional. Additionally, there were no extra amenities besides the gym (pool, free breakfast, free coffee—not even a coffee maker or microwave in the room) so I feel the price should’ve been much lower considering that you’re really only paying for a bed and potentially using the gym.

Very nice, recently updated hotel...

Liked: Breakfast was great. We were able to choose any items off the menu, the service was great, and orders were filled quickly and accurately.
Disliked: Booking didn’t charge us the pet fee or tell us how much it would be and the hotel didn’t know we were bringing a dog. Luckily they were ok with it and accommodated us.
