Hotel was clean, staff was...

Liked: The breakfast was extremely over priced for charging 20$ per person for what was a very limited and small buffet. From the frozen individual waffles ( this is the first time I have ever seen frozen waffles for a continental breakfast that didn’t even have a waffle machine to use.). The food itself did not look appetizing at all and when I asked the staff if they have eaten there or at the least sampled the breakfast, and all three employees turned their noses up and said no, they don’t think the food is food and it doesn’t look good at all. So.. ya… not good. For the price you charge for the rooms, the breakfast should be included already for the stay, but to have a sub par looking area to dine in and eat said food, it was dark, hardly any lights on and the two staffers were just not friendly.
Disliked: When booking a room and you book a king sized bed, you expect a king sized bed when you pay them. Well not the case in point here. I paid for a king sized bed, but was told that they ( the hotel staff) can put me in any room they wish, regardless of what I paid for. Simply put.. the staff doesn’t care enough to accommodate your customers and seem to just do as they want. Well, I have stage 4 terminal cancer and even though a queen sized bed vs a king sized bed is just size over all. Someone who is in my situation, needs the extra space to be able to get the type of help I need to move off the bed. I know it’s no one’s problem, and I’m not here to make it anyone’s issue, but when I reserve a room, a car, a tool, doesn’t really matter what it is I am paying for, I select the correct accommodations for myself to help me, not to bother others, but when others take it upon themselves to make changes upon my accommodations, this creates bigger issues for me. Also, when a hotel stands on the notion that they have a heated pool, ( this was the main reason why I chose this horel, the heated pool is a huge theropedic session for me as I have major issues with mobility caused by the cancer), and when asked st the counter when checking in about the heated pool amd told that it is in fact heated, I wasn’t a big fan of climbing into a “heated pool” that was regulated at 62 degrees. That isn’t heated.. then when I approached the staff about maybe fe getting Maintance to turn on the heaters, we were told there isn’t any Maintance staff on the weekends and there was nothing they could or would do about it. So that’s that..

Really nice place.

Liked: This place is one of the nicest designs I have seen in a hotel. beautiful entrance, wallpaper choices, colors, furniture was so cool. Rooms were expertly designed. I have been in hotels that are two or three times as expensive and not nearly as pretty as this one.
Disliked: I am pretty confident that someone came into our hotel room and ate popcorn. We had left for most the day, came back and there was popcorn crumbs on the bed and on the floor. Neither of us had popcorn or any food outside of a chocolate bar in the hotel. We didn't even open the bag of BBQ chips from the front desk, my brother is a much bigger fan of them so we brought them back to him.

Room was great & clean....

Liked: Would have preferred to order something simple besides the buffet.
