Comfortable one night stay

Liked: While voco Kirkton Park Hunter Valley is set in peaceful surroundings with beautiful gardens, it is on the edge of most of the wineries in Pokolbin. Disappointingly upon arrival, we had to wait over 10 minutes before someone arrived at reception. The room itself was very tastefully decorated and presented and clean, although, in the bathroom, greater attention could be given to base of the shower. The bed was comfortable. We made use of the onsite lounge for dinner and would highly recommend the offered breakfast.
Disliked: The rooms are elevated off the ground with the floor in the room not being made of a “solid” material. While it is carpeted, it was impossible to walk on any part of the floor without it creaking loudly.

Disliked: Bathroom door did not close properly Bed was too soft (?) every time I rolled over my wife woke up...Restaurant was not open for dinner...nothing else was open within easy drive of the hotel. we would have liked to eat in at the hotel restaurant...not the bar.

Liked: Everything was exceptional except we couldn’t order food when we arrived back to hotel at 9.15 from watching a concert which I thought was a bit disappointing as we were paying almost $700 for one night
