Very pleasant.

Liked: The reception and breakfast staff were excellent. Everyone was very attentive. The hotel and my room were very clean. Everything functioned well.
Disliked: Like so many new hotels, this hotel skimps on bathroom privacy. The bathrooms have only a thin glass door, with no latch. In my room, the A/C vent allowed drafts to push the door open. PLEASE, HOTEL DESIGNERS: Guests want / need / deserve basic levels of privacy in the bathroom. Also, cutting corners with shower design that allow water to spray all over the floor...another unfortunate trend.

A lovely, clean, modern hotel...

Liked: The hotel felt very modern and clean. The layout of the room was lovely and spacious, with a fab bathroom. The added touch of the jetted bath was a great addition. The bed was very comfy too! The hotel is a five minute walk from Haymarket train station which is very handy and also within walking distance to Princes Street. The actual location of the hotel is removed from the hustle and bustle and in a lovely, quiet area.
Disliked: Being given the option to book breakfast on arrival would have been good. I would have appreciated the staff offering an explanation as to why an additional £30 deposit was required on top of payment.
