Exceptional
Liked: Loved the hotel, it's labyrinthine paths in the garden were delightful to walk thru. Pool was refreshing, mostly dominated by kids. The service was good, very clean, as others have said. Free breakfast was good & we would stay here again, loved feeling like we were in a palace of days past with ahidden garden.
Disliked: the only thing we didn't like: the beds aren't very comfortable.

We loved Danza del Sol...
Liked: Danza del Sol is such a delightful place - the apartments are large and nicely furnished, the grounds are lovely, the breakfasts are delicious , the staff very helpful and the pool is fun! It’s also a short walk from anything you’d want to visit in Ajijic. Totally recommend!
Disliked: It wasn’t a big deal because the staff helped us with it and it was very affordable, but we had to buy a water container from the front desk - they made it easy, though .

Pleasant
Liked: Gardens were lovely, pool was clean
Disliked: A little bit further from central Ajijic than I expected. I would have expected the front desk staff to have some English. We managed with the translator app

Huge 1 bedroom villa that...
Liked: Beautiful landscaping and pool. Good housekeeping and it was far from downtown (9 blocks) so it was quiet
Disliked: Awful kitchen, the gas wasn’t turned on for the stove, stained lunch size plastic ware and no pots or pans or even oil, salt and pepper. A basically useless huge kitchen. No English is spoken so it was difficult to even get someone to bring us a frying pan to heat leftovers! The villa was huge but cold and it took 2 days to get someone to have a blanket dropped off! No wine opener, nothing to heat water for tea, no kitchen linens or paper products, and this villa could have been special if there was any effort to make it more comfortable.

Passable.
Liked: The bed was comfortable, as were the sofa and chair in the living area. The rooms were large.
Disliked: The suite was dark and gloomy, and totally lacked charm. The photos showed art on the walls, but there is none. They also showed fruit in a bowl, but not only is there no fruit, there's no bowl. The kitchen is an insult - just a bit of cutlery and a few plates - not even a tea towel and dish cloth to wipe the counter. It's a depressing, run-down place with dim lighting and nothing to enliven it. Given that Mexico is full of such vibrant arts and crafts and colour, it is sad that this hotel includes none of that.

Excellent for families
Liked: The appartement was huge with a big kitchen. Ideal for families and long stays. Feels like living in an hacienda. Breakfast was excellent!
Disliked: Wished the poolwater was heated.
