Disliked: The room was small and cramped. We had booked a club room.There were glass and cup rings on the bedside tables, on the bathroom shelf, and on the table.There was no bath mat.The shower flooded every time it was used There were no coasters, so we bought some in the town centre. We booked a club room, this was not a club roomOnly nasty PG tips teabags available so again, we bought our own tea in the town centre.There were two plug sockets in the room, both at the table, neither at the bedside.There was insufficient breakfast for people, we had to wait nearly half an hour for breakfast to be made available. The chef came out and complained that he was the only one at work and he was clearly stressed out trying to meet the demands of the guests waiting for breakfast.There were no forks.There was no porridge. The pot was empty, sitting in hot water for over one hour staff had not noticed, many guests had.Most of the dining tables were littered with used crockery cutlery and cups.There were no cups for us to have coffee.We had lunch on Saturday in the restaurant. I had a salmon nicoise salad and the salad in the bowl was at least a day old. It was browning at the edges and dry. My partner has a Peri Peri chicken burger that he described as dull and flavourless. We have stayed at Village hotels several times, and this was an unpleasant, stark contrast. The room cost £113 for one night and I can honestly say we will never ever go back there. More attention is paid to people who visit the pub, Starbucks and the gym.

Liked: Comfy bed, central location, usb sockets next to bed. Really liked the hotel and the vibe was good with the sport channels in room. Staff were lovely. Just need to improve breakfast
Disliked: Breakfast wasn’t great. Beans and mushrooms were stone cold, everything else other than the hash browns was cold. Scrambled eggs were way too creamy!! No fried eggs. Lots of dirty tables not being cleaned away. Shower pressure not that good either.

Noise

Liked: This is the second time we have visited this hotel and again we were disturbed at 6AM by noise from the Gym. Not good.
