Liked: Wasn't what we expected, the room was shabby, outdated,& had ROACHES..which my child is deathly afraid of any bugs..Towels were clean, but rough & no wash cloths.The "breakfast" was heated up eggs & bread, would NOT recommend or stay again.

Isla Verde Inn pre cruise...

Liked: Friendly, helpful staff, Hector and Christian. Great location for the beach, 3 minute walk, and good local, fun places for authentic local food. The property needs updating, no safe, no hairdryer, 2 towels, furnishings we're kind of shabby, room 26. I believe if we had asked they would have supplied things, but we didn't really need more. Very good simple breakfast, omelettes, pancakes, bagels, cereal, yogurt, juice and coffee included. Comfy beds, good air conditioner.

Liked: Location good for food and to the airport.
Disliked: While it was clean, the building was just worn and needed some updating

Disliked: Hotel is in a bad state of disrepair, needs so much maintenance to get up to respectable standard

Was ok but wouldn’t go...

Liked: The employees and proximity to the beach
Disliked: On a major (!) highway- noisy 24 hrs a day. “Decks” had no view @ all.Water had very little pressure and didn’t get warm to take a shower. It also reflected in coarse towels and sheets- assuming water shortage on the island in general (?)

Liked: Staff was very friendly and extremely helpful.Fairly clean, at least the bathroom and sheets.Bed iteslf is comfortable, but quite small.Airport nearby is not an issue, you cannot hear the planes. The beach is very close. There are quite some restaurants nearby.Breakfast is OK. There is a small desk in the morning next to reception with all the food on it. Not really sure if the idea is to eat it right there next to reception or take it to your room. In the reception there are only 2 desks available, but it also wasn't very crouded most of the time. Coffee is available all the time.Microvawe is also available in the room, which is nice.And we eceived 2 bottles of water as a gift :D
Disliked: Location is right next to the highway, so might be an issue if you have trouble sleeping. Also, you always need to cross a pedestrian bridge to get anywhere, which is nice to get in some excersise on the stairs, but sucks when you need to drag the luggage.The room itself is not in a great condition. Broken tiles, damaged carpet, dirty walls and doors, no closet, electicity setup at times looks borderline dangerous... It's really not great, quite neglected. But it has a bed and a warm shower...Takes ages before warm water starts to flow in the shower.Small bed. The whole room is in fact quite small, we both hit our legs on the bedframe on multiple occasions as there is not much space to walk past it. Would be also nice to have some power outlets next to the bed.Sometimes the pancakes and waffles for breakfast would be cold.
