Great location and comfortable room....

Liked: The room was larger than average, recently renovated, and very clean. It was a nice bonus that the toilet and bathroom were separate. The hotel was located in a great area – a quiet yet lively street with several cafés, bakeries, and good restaurants. The train station, as well as metro and bus stops, were very close by, offering direct connections to the city's main attractions. A perfect location for exploring the city with ease.
Disliked: When booking, I requested early check-in if possible, as we were arriving at the hotel around 10 AM after traveling through the night. The hotel replied that they would try their best, which I appreciated and fully understood. Upon arrival, we were told the room would be ready by 3 PM at the latest and that we would be called if it became available earlier. We left our luggage at the hotel and went to explore the city. Since we never received a call, we returned at 3 PM hoping to finally rest, having been awake for over 36 hours. However, we were informed the room was still not ready and were asked to wait in the bar. Other guests who were also waiting began to receive their rooms one by one around 3:15 PM. Renovation works were taking place in the hotel, and there was loud drilling noise near the lobby and bar area. By 4 PM, no one had come to inform us, so we went to the front desk and were then told the room was ready – but no one had come to let us know. I understand early check-in cannot always be guaranteed, but in such a case, at least ensuring timely check-in by 3 PM and updating the guest would be appreciated.Another inconvenience was the elevator situation. One of the two elevators was out of order, and the other was still covered in protective plastic due to renovations. This meant both guests and staff, including housekeeping with their carts, used the same small elevator. Wait times were long, and often, when the elevator finally arrived, it was full. We frequently had to use the stairs just to move between floors in a reasonable time.

Rude staff and unfair treatment...

Liked: During my trip to Paris, I stayed at this hotel. Most of the staff were very friendly and professional, but I had a very unpleasant experience with one of the staff called Hani.
Disliked: I had booked a room that could accommodate two people, but I traveled alone for a couple of days. When my friend came to visit me for one night, there was a staff member called Hani who claimed not to recognize me and asked me to show my room key, even though I had already been staying there for 4 days and would be leaving next early morning. My friend provided a photo of their ID, but Hani refused, insisting that only the original document would be accepted, with a very rude attitude. After my friend registered as a visitor about half an hour later, Hani came upstairs knocking on my door—just like a scene from a horror movie. At that time, I had already changed into my pajamas. After an unsuccessful conversation, I had to go downstairs with him to explain again that I had booked a double room and that both of us were legal residents and it was already very late near midnight. However, he completely disregarded the ID photo we provided and treated us with extreme hostility, making me feel very uncomfortable. Also, he didn't ask any other couples or people who also came that night for their ID or keys while I was standing at the reception, wearing my pajamas, for him dealing with it; it feels rather personal targeting and very awkward. This thing ended up with me paying extra money for city tax as an end.
