Good value for money and...
Liked: Really loved the location, the room size, staff and cleanliness.
Disliked: It was really loud. My friend and I felt as though you could hear everything from outside the room. People walking up and down the corridor in the hotel but especially the noise outside was especially bad. We had to put a towel at the bottom of the door to try and dim the noise coming from corridor in hotel.

I loved it, but I...
Liked: The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the room had an otherwordly charm that was rustic but clean and luxurious. Nespresso coffee was in the room and near the lobby, and it was a fun and delicious experience in the morning. The fresh creamer and bottled water in the fridge was a nice addition. The location was extremely convenient and surprisingly quite for being right downtown. There was also a new elevator, which I wasn't expecting but was very useful.
Disliked: Because I had used a third-party booking app to make my reservation two weeks in advance, the staff informed me that I would not be able to get their newly advertised cheaper nightly rate, which appears to be a technique the hotel uses to fill rooms last minute. They said that if I had booked through their own website, they would honour the newer, cheaper nightly rate, even if the first quoted booking rate was originally $20-$60 greater. I suggest checking nightly rates a day before.I wanted to use the radiator at night and felt uncomfortable having the drapes closed while the radiator was warming up. I opened one valve and thought it only turned on the radiator in the corner that did not have drapes behind it, but it actually turned on all the radiators in the room. I didn't attempt to figure out how to isolate and turn off only the radiators directly in front of the long drapes, so I decided to sleep with the drapes open. Luckily, the mesh shade did help diffuse any outside light until the sun rose. The room was bright with many windows, and all the windows were unlocked when I first checked in, but they felt secure after locking. I just suggest that all travellers remember to check windows and locks.I was not familiar with how Nespresso machines drop the espresso pods into an inner chamber after opening the top lever, and the machine won't work properly unless you press one of the cup selection buttons to power on the machine first before lowering the pod lever. There is no designated power button, so the pictorial instructions on the side of the machine were not straight forward at first, and I made two cups of hot water before I figured out the proper button-pod-lever-button combination.
