Liked: The interns of the house are really beautiful and well maintained. Everything was very clean and dust free. There was silence and peace. It is a walkable distance from the center of Towanda, the river and a very good mexican restaurant.
Disliked: The continental breakfast was under the expectations, very very basic.

Disliked: Would like oatmeal instant packets as a breakfast option. The quilt on bed was very musty smelling. I don’t think they are laundered or cleaned between guests. Not sanitary or healthy. A lightweight duvet which can be covered and cleaned between guest would be preferable.

Liked: Good location, check-in was straightforward. The place was clean. As of Oct 2024, it costs a fraction of the price of similar places nearby.
Disliked: The place has potential, but urgently needs a renovation. It looked fairly clean to me, but because the floors and carpets are so old the first impression is that they are dirty. Stayed in the Ruthie room, the bed was uncomfortable and the floor is not level - there is a noticeable drop, which can even be dangerous. I didn't get to see any staff, which is OK but also a bit weird.

Liked: This is my second year staying at the Victorian Charm Inn and it was just as delightful and restful. The caretakers and staff are very friendly and engaging. You can tell they take pride in helping to keep such a beautiful and historic home alive and welcoming. The home isn't perfect, given it's age, but it's perfect for me for a weekend hideaway. And I LOVE that the Mandeville Room has its own private, screened-in balcony. It's bit noisy with traffic, but the balcony is an absolutely delightful spot for reading, Bible study, and enjoying the trees outside. The breakfast was the perfect combination of continental selections and fresh. I will definitely make this an annual respite weekend.
Disliked: Towanda is a cute little town, but it doesn't offer a wide selection of restaurants for a foodie like me. I have found a couple of wonderful places to eat, thanks to the suggestions for locals. The challenge with a home built in the late 1800's is not having enough outlets for our modern technology. I had to get creative if I wanted to use my laptop. LOL.
