Liked: Good location, check-in was straightforward. The place was clean. As of Oct 2024, it costs a fraction of the price of similar places nearby.
Disliked: The place has potential, but urgently needs a renovation. It looked fairly clean to me, but because the floors and carpets are so old the first impression is that they are dirty. Stayed in the Ruthie room, the bed was uncomfortable and the floor is not level - there is a noticeable drop, which can even be dangerous. I didn't get to see any staff, which is OK but also a bit weird.

Liked: This is my second year staying at the Victorian Charm Inn and it was just as delightful and restful. The caretakers and staff are very friendly and engaging. You can tell they take pride in helping to keep such a beautiful and historic home alive and welcoming. The home isn't perfect, given it's age, but it's perfect for me for a weekend hideaway. And I LOVE that the Mandeville Room has its own private, screened-in balcony. It's bit noisy with traffic, but the balcony is an absolutely delightful spot for reading, Bible study, and enjoying the trees outside. The breakfast was the perfect combination of continental selections and fresh. I will definitely make this an annual respite weekend.
Disliked: Towanda is a cute little town, but it doesn't offer a wide selection of restaurants for a foodie like me. I have found a couple of wonderful places to eat, thanks to the suggestions for locals. The challenge with a home built in the late 1800's is not having enough outlets for our modern technology. I had to get creative if I wanted to use my laptop. LOL.

Beautiful inn for a short...

Liked: Beautiful building in a cute town. Short walk to surprisingly good food - the Flying Taco! Staff were very helpful and friendly. Interesting historical items in the entryway and lobby area.
Disliked: Beds were not terribly comfortable. Also unfortunately under new ownership the breakfast is now a very underwhelming continental, very disappointing. I honestly booked it in large part because of the rave breakfast reviews, so that's on me! Also very hard to see the parking entry if you arrive after dark as we did.
