Peaceful and everything you need

Liked: Really lovely place to stay. Quiet hotel and peaceful area just a short walk from Stirling centre. Staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again.

Liked: Beautiful building in a beautiful location
Disliked: The overhead shower was virtually unusable. Whilst I appreciate it's an old property, the taps were so stiff they were almost inoperable and regulating the shower temperature was a nightmare. Given that the claw foot bath and overhead shower were an important factor in choosing the property, it was disappointing and irritating.

This is a comfortable hotel...

Liked: Warm and comfortable in a traditional setting. Room and en-suite a good size.
Disliked: Single-glazed windows were prone to condensation. Some maintenance is required to address the loose sink taps and the shower overspill.

Disliked: The complementary water in the room is a bottle of tap water, for the price of the room I would expect bottled water.Breakfast is nice but not much choice for the continental option with bakery options not fresh but quite obviously supermarket packaged. Hot food was ok, we had the Scottish breakfast.
