Liked: Somerset was an awesome restaurant; suite was clean and comfortable; all the staff was great.

Liked: Great location in Gold Coast. Nice restaurant and rooftop bar.
Disliked: Housekeeping was very uneven. For a highly rated hotel, the Viceroy had some of the worst face and bath towels ever. Strictly YMCA, meaning no disrespect to the Y. Terrible.

The Viceroy offers art deco...

Liked: My partner and I booked the viceroy for it's art deco history and the fact that the modern redesign retained the inspiration from the art deco era. We found the hotel to be beautiful, full of kind cheerful staff. We liked the candy in the lobby and the environmentally friendly options. Our room was comfortable and quiet and the bathroom was beautiful. We ate in the restaurant downstairs and had an excellent breakfast again with very nice staff. An absolutely stunning hotel.
Disliked: I would have liked a few more options for pillows on the bed as the pillows were feather-soft but my neck prefers something firmer. finding the right temperature for the room was difficult as the spring weather was inconsistent.

Liked: Bed and bedding were excellent, as was customer service.
Disliked: There wasn't much area to sit in the room. No real couch or lounging option... just sort of a Cleopatra couch.

Great Stay

Liked: Spent the weekend at the Viceroy to celebrate a birthday. The hotel staff welcomed us enthusiastically and made us feel like we were in good hands. The room was clean, comfortable and had stunning views of the city and lake. Location was prime and had easy access to public transportation if we wanted to venture to other parts of the city. Everything was great from the moment we checked in until we checked out.

Liked: We had to check in very last minute and they were so accommodating.Overall the hotel is beautiful, friendly and the little touches of fresh infused water everyday is something small but enjoyable!
