Liked: The reception staff (male) was not accommodating at all.I rang ahead and asked for early check in as hubby in a wheelchair and had to vacate previous place earlier than 3pm.Was told yes something was available.Male on counter said no way can you get early check in.After 2.3hrs told relocated us to disabled room.Absolutely disgusting.2 single beds and a roll away for people in their 70s.Extremely dangerous.Couldn’t even manoeuvre wheelchair.Next sent to another room and had really bad odour.Lucky I had dettol spray with me.Sister went to ask question at reception and this male refused to serve her.Don’t bother staying.

We needed time away from...
Liked: Good selection at breakfast. Comfortable temperature in the restraunt (ate 1x dinner and 1x breakfast in the restaurant) and 1x breakfast served to our room (due to illness). All staff were very friendly and very helpful across all service areas. The hotel's lobby always smelt really lovely.
Disliked: We required a room with disability access. Unfortunately, the grout on floor tiles in the walk-in shower were not very clean, with dirty/mould-like areas under the shower head, as well as the first couple of rows up the 3 sides of the shower area. The shower head only provided a very gentle rain type setting which was not helpful trying to wash someone else (my husband is disabled). Our towels were both threadbare & my towel had a hole. The kitchen didn't have sufficient cutlery, had no tea towels & we only had a bin at the desk, as well as in the bathroom. However, a bin in the kitchen area would make sense. The bar fridge made the strangest noises The outside of the fridge door, as well as the top of it were really hot to the touch. However, the internal setting was freezing everything. The fridge did not have an ice tray nor a water jug. The aircon settings were inconsistent, fluctuating between really cold & uncomfortably warm/humid. The aircon had a constant leak & the area around the aircon was damp & made constant wirring/cranking/grinding noises which was crazy stupid, which resulted in next to no sleep our first night!!! As a result, it meant my husband was unable to attend the 2nd day of the workshop being hosted at the hotel (the reason for stayover), which meant I didn't attend either as my husband required attention. We spent the entire day (Day 2) in the hotel room. The wall, just to the left of the sliding door was damp/mouldy, with bubbling paint. The numerous faults in the room/bathroom were disappointing. However, it's especially difficult for someone with disabilities to function, when the allocated room with disability access is on the 2nd floor, directly above (atop) the outdoor entertaininment "beer garden" of the tavern & due to the very wet days/nights we were at the hotel, we were unable to explore the surroundings...

Liked: Location to waterfront.
Disliked: Soooo many hairs on the carpet, on our bed sheets, in the bathroom on arrival. On arrival someone’s period blood on the toilet seat!! Went to make a coffee in the room and the kettle filled with bubbles?!!Fire alarm went off and various intercom announcements through out the night. Rust all over fridge in bedroomAircon kept changing temp throughout the night - wouldn’t stay cool!!Pool walls, pillars and floor chipped/broken/sharp!!

Disappointing
Liked: We have stayed at Vibe over a dozen times and it was terrible this time. Room was not ready till after 3pm. The mini fridge was empty (supposed to be stocked) only had partial crockery. Bed smelt of sweat. Bathroom sink was leaking onto floor. Ordered room service one night and was told they didn’t have anyone to deliver it and it would take ‘time’. An hour later the security guard delivered it. Rooms are now only serviced every 3 days. Pool is run down and overall the hotel needs a good deep clean. Told staff all info and was just offered a verbal ‘sorry’. It seemed liked this is a regular complaint from guests. I will not be staying here again.
