This place is good just...

Liked: I loved the staff. Micaela at the front desk is super nice and willing. They organize activities that are fun to meet other people at the hostel which is great for solo travelers.
Disliked: The elevator (just one) is very slow and it needs maintenance. I used the stairs during my whole stay (I was in the 4th floor). The stairs are VERY DIRTY and they smell very bad. You don’t have towels in the room, you need to go ask at the front desk (which is not comfortable if the elevator doesn’t work properly). The coffee maker didn’t work during my stay, so they did coffee with a 12 cup coffee maker, so you can imagine the line for a cup of coffee. The beds are also very old and they make a lot of noise if you move. Cleaning service is good in the rooms but definitely not in the common areas (stairs and lobby, the couch is very dirty).

Good budget option for a...

Liked: Has a really ideal location in South Beach just a block from the beach. There are lots of restaurants and convenience stores nearby. It’s right in the heart of the Art Deco district. The aesthetic of the lobby, pool area and hallways is also really cute.
Disliked: They don’t seem to pay attention to deep cleaning and maintenance in the rooms. There is lots of dust and debris in the corners and sides of the beds. There were also tons of dirty towels hanging in the room that didn’t clearly belong to anyone as there’s no system for organizing what belongs to whom in the room. I think there were towels hanging from people who checked out days ago. The blinds were broken and lots of light comes in. There shower leaked severely and soap dispenser was broken. I told reception about this and they tried to fix it and it just went right back to broken.
