Disliked: Hotel is definitely a 3 star and the smaller rooms get short end of stick with being small and having a terrible view.

Liked: The room was very clean, the staff were very helpful and the location is very convenient for the Paris metro. Plenty of places to eat and drink nearby. The room was secure and well-maintained.
Disliked: While the room is very secure and the concierge manned, the area can be a little scary after dark.

Disliked: I wasn’t able to turn the shower hotter. It was not cold fortunately, but prefer a really hot shower but was’t possible. Put it on the max but it was to cold for me personally

Liked: We really enjoyed our stay! The location is great and the room was clean and lovely. It was better than in pictures, probably there was some renovation, so it was a nice surprise. The staff was also very niceWe would choose the same hotel the next time

Liked: We liked the ambience of the reception and found the owner, staff members Khalid and Irmgard very friendly, welcoming and helpful. We love the area of Oberkampf, thus the location suited us. The room was on the smaller side for us Aussies, but extremely clean and charming. The bathroom seemed like new. My partner enjoyed a very good breakfast in the hotel . All in all a great stay, and should we come to Paris again we would re-book the Verlain. Thank you Khalid and Irmgard for a pleasant stay.
