As good as you're going...

Liked: Just about did the job as I wanted somewhere to rest for 1 night after a gig before going back home. I don't think it's pleasant enough for a tourist who wants to visit London for a few days and I definitely wouldn't stay more than a night for any reason The staff member was nice and led me through the (incredibly cumbersome) check in and app key system. Deptford although a bit rough around the edges is a gentrifying area with some good cafes and restaurants.
Disliked: The whole place needs doing up. Carpets were worn out. The room was very hot and had a stench, and there was a broken drier and a broken tap in the bathroom.

Decent value for money but...

Liked: Staff very friendly. The food in the pub was yummy and great value for money (salmon teriyaki rice was banging) and drinks were also good prices with the 20% discount. Good value for money. Good transport connections.
Disliked: We were told the pub stayed open until 2am (on a Saturday) but it was not open when we got back at 1.30am. Beds creaky and sheets noisy because polyester material. No lounge space other than the pub so was slightly annoying when it was closed. It also hadn’t opened on Sunday by when we left at 11. Also the sound on the password locks was quite loud (during the night) which seemed unnecessary.

Ok

Liked: It was close to the DLR, which was good. The neighborhood itself was a bit weird specially at night.
Disliked: The check in was chaotic because of the app not working. We ended up waiting 1 hour until everything was sorted out. Once the owner showed up, everything worked, he was very helpful. The room was a bit different from the pictures mostly because it’s way more worn out. Cleanliness is precarious but the pressure in the showers are good.

Very good

Liked: The hostel is in a quite comfortable area, DLR and busses are near. All doors are electronically locked by a personal code, so you don't have to carry any keys on you. Staff is very kind and helpful. Rooms are available at a reason price. Showers are very spacious, there are water fountains and a kettle and microwave available. Downstairs there is a pub that serves also food!
Disliked: As I expected the building is quite old, however there was a weird kind a smell around (I guess humidity). I had very few interactions, however this seems a quiet hostel, maybe not the best for young people who wants to find a vibrant place. My bed unfortunately was very uncomfortable (I had the impression was broken), however the room had all the facilities described.

Good

Liked: Really friendly staff. We were in the room next to the communal bathrooms but this didn't majorly disturb our sleep or experience. The location seemed safe and only a five minute walk from the tube, food markets, and shops.

Excellent

Liked: Room, clean floors, clean curtains, quiet room. Thanks. Received excellent service by staff at reception and everyday by house keeping. I want to visit again.
