The place has a soul

Liked: Very simple but ‚just right‘ breakfast in calm setting
Disliked: shared bathroom a bit of a pain

Liked: Very clean and enjoyable. Loved my room, and it was a very cozy vibe. I was worried about the area being in a touristy spot but it’s in a residential part of Venice, and it’s super quiet and safe.

Liked: The location was steps from the beach, the beds were comfortable, the breakfast was delicious, and the staff went out of their way to help.
Disliked: The smell from the beach was a little off putting and the half shower door got water everywhere when taking a shower.

Liked: Spacious room, comfortable bed, great location.
Disliked: The shower in our room was difficult to enter and exit ...and there was no bath mat, so floor got wet

Liked: Great breakfast and location!!
Disliked: Needs air conditioning. Not comfortable sleeping at night!! You need a top sheet on the bed. All we had was a duvet to cover up with and with no AC it was much too warm. Just need a top sheet to sleep under.

A unique hotel/sharehouse like exprience.

Liked: Location was everything! You're literally 30 seconds walk from Venice Beach, multiple restaurants, and a 2 minute walk from the Venice Canals.The actually room itself was very spacious, and very nicely themed. My wife and I were in the James Peaspoon (something like that) with the King bed, balcony patio for 2, and full private twin shower head bathroom.Bonus comfortable sofa bed as well. Large closet if you are going to use it. Parking reservation is a plus though at a $25 fee.
Disliked: Though the room was great, the only thing I didn't like personally was that it can be quite loud walking around since the floor creaks. In some spots louder than others. One could say that gives the place a more authentic feel staying at a place such as this, which is fine. Just not for me personally. I also don't know if its the time of the year or simply because we're by the beach or maybe because of the variety of plants and trees around, but there were many small flies and/or fruit flies in our room. Not too much of an issue since it wasn't excessive but something definitely noticeable.
