The only thing we liked...

Liked: Close to the Portsmouth Ferry
Disliked: We were not told there was no availability of a restaurant,cafe,or bar. before arrival ! There was nowhere nearby to have a meal. We were offered to purchase a microwave meal and then, charged to USE the closed dining room! It was awful. They have their own basement car park and Charged us to use that also ! €15 per night ! A late check out was €5 per hour also. The smell as you come into the Hotel from the car park is horrible and it’s an awful way to enter the Hotel it is so run down ,down there ! We would Never stay there again. We have stayed in poor accommodation before but the staff/owners attitude makes up for anything lacking. Not in this case.

Liked: Living like royalty in a 1906 palace!

Good place to stay for...

Liked: The location was very good some nice walks and easy to catch the train into Bilbao. Breakfast was nice and plenty of choice.
Disliked: A little bit tired we got upgraded which was nice but nothing special. We booked 2 rooms by mistake so don’t know what a basic double would be like.
