My go-to hotel when in...

Liked: Location. Short stay so nice that it's close to restaurants, night life, Sophia Reina and Prado. Lots to explore. Close to major train station. Staff is always grateful and helpful. I've stayed several times over the years when in Madrid.
Disliked: Minor. The lights in the hallway turn off, and the elevator is kind of slow.

Nice and well located hotel

Liked: Hotel is very well located, nearby Atocha Trains station. We arrived by train and walkes to the hotel, and left by plane, walking again to the station to get the bus to the airport without any issue. Staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was quite small and air conditioning was not working (we were told they already switched to heat at this time of the year). Room is not big, but fits well a couple with luggage. Shower is good and bed too. The room had no view.
Disliked: Price was a bit high and the room had no view (window facing inwards).

Crap - avoid this hotel...

Liked: Not a lot. Very, very basic.
Disliked: The morning reception guy could not understand or speak English which was problematic at times! They promised me a ‘quiet’ room but gave me literally the noisiest one which was right over the busy street and on the 1st floor. One very slow lift. Toiletries - really? No breakfast facility and the only place to have a coffee was in the small foyer downstairs. No English channels at all - not one, and even Netflix did not connect to the Internet, not that I wanted Netflix!!Room was small - no where for your suitcase! All in all, it was a shocker!! Thanks booking.com! It is clear you have not checked this place out prior to listing it. Very disappointed indeed.

Liked: All very good. Great location too. And Carlos in reception and his wonderful colleagues were exceptionally helpful. Just a great and memorable stay.
