Excellent hotel.

Liked: Beautifully decorated with modern interiors and art work. Proximity to the cathedral and amenities was great.
Disliked: The surrounding area didn't feel particularly safe to walk through alone.

Great place to stay for...

Liked: Good place to stay while exploring Köln! Neighbourhood was nice: close to Köln Hauptbahnhof and cute cafes and restaurants. Onlty a 10 min walk to the city center. Room was well equipped. Breakfast had vegan options.
Disliked: Only thing I did not really like was the very present plastic / protective layer on the bed. Felt like sleeping on a good bed but with a thick layer of plastic between the sheets and the matress. I understand you want to protect the matress but this is a bit too much maybe.

Modern and comfortable

Liked: Friendly, helpful staff. Room had modern decor, superb bed linen quality, very effective soundproofing. Was able to get free water, cups and a kettle from reception. Nice place to relax just a few minutes walk from the busy main shopping area.
Disliked: Room was small but knew that in advance. The ‘cathedral view’ was mostly train tracks and back yards of local businesses but didn’t matter!

Great place to stay in...

Liked: Great location close to Cologne Hbf, supermarkets and restaurants. The room and rooftop had amazing views of the cathedral. Room was clean and soundproof, for being close to the train tracks, nothing could be heard at night. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast had a great variety of breads, fruit, cereal, coffee and cheeses.
