Liked: Friendly, helpful staff. Quiet location for a peaceful night's sleep. Comfortable bed.
Disliked: Faulty shaving light in bathroom stayed on all night. Breakfast only available from 1000, which seems very late, the boxed breakfast is a disappointing offering compared to the proper breakfast.

Liked: Hotel was in nice location food was delicious and plentiful at breakfast
Disliked: Room was not cleaned properly beds had fresh sheets and duvet . How ever carpet had not been hoover Brown stain on bathroom floor was told probably coffee which it was not Not a power shower could not get shampoo out of hair had to use sink cobwebs all in bathroom ceiling Bedrooms were cold even when we turned heaters up did speak with owner Neil about stain on floor didn't notice cobwebs until we showered Didn't want to complain very nice man

Good local small hotel in...

Liked: The hotel is clean, tidy. Staff were friendly, owner talks to all the guests made us feel at home. Really good atmosphere. Food was delicious. Nice bar. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we are going back soon

Nothing about the hotel stands...

Liked: Nice quiet village. Bar is quant and has a cosy feel to it.
Disliked: Rooms are very small. Wet patches on carpet. Small TV. Dated bathroom. Breakfast was poor; undercooked and underwhelming portion size. Iron provided by staff didn’t work.

Liked: Very quiet at night. No through traffic on the street. Good size room. Good food in the pub at night. A building with allot of character.

Stayed some years ago and...

Liked: Nothing, no hot water, micro waved evening meal, no breakfast until 10 am, .
Disliked: Room scruffy and not clean ,dangerous bathroom carpet, rusty bathroom fittings, mould all over bathroom.Our reception was not welcoming, with a general attitude to us of "take it or leave it"
