Hotel over charged me!

Liked: Room was ok
Disliked: The room was smaller than expected. The shower and bathroom were at on different sides of the room, thus a little bit inconvenient to wash hands after using the bathroom.The reason why for the 1 star was because hotel charged me extra amount for tax without informing me at the check-out, and when I called, they said it's because Booking.com paid them less thus they needed to charge the rest to customer. This was the first time I got charged for other party paying less... I'm not sure why hotel did not contact Booking.com and charged their customers directly (apparently, this is a common thing for them) as I paid the entire amount to Booking.com already 1 month+ before the check-in. Until today (after 2 months after I stayed at the hotel), I'm still chasing Booking.com for the refund (not successful because of their horrible customer service). And they kept blaming the hotel for over charging me. As someone who book over 30 hotel nights a year, I doubt I would ever use the platform in future.

Liked: The bed were remarkably comfortable and the esthetic of the place very European and intimate. Both lounges are beautiful and romantic.
Disliked: The breakfast was poor. Just a small table by the entrance with coffee and a few cookies. The lounges ( Ash and Bloom) are very pretty but the food ( particularly the caviar) was of poor quality.

Liked: Comfortable and nice decor.
Disliked: A bit dark in the rooms. No kettle / coffee maker in rooms.

Liked: The vibe of this hidden gem is amazing. It's like stepping into a funked out vampire's lair. It has an old world charm that I love. The bathrooms are my favorite part of the rooms.
Disliked: There was nothing I didn't like about my stay.

Liked: The location was very good, within walking distance to the train station and the harbor. The staffs were very friendly
Disliked: The light was a bit dim, and the black-colored toilet made it difficult to tell if it was clean. The ceiling of the bed was a bit uncomfortable for me.

Liked: This is a cool, quirky hotel in the Mount Vernon area of Baltimore. It's well located for the main train station, and within walking distance to many sights. The hotel bar has great cocktails!
