Disappointing

Nicely situated, efficiently run hotel...

Liked: Our Superior room was quite comfortable, with a nice balcony. The staff were uniformly friendly, both in Reception and the restaurants. The location is quite excellent for the Parsenn Bahn, with many shops and restaurants within easy walking access.
Disliked: The owner chose to make a fuss about our parking spot on the last day, even though the general parking situation was quite chaotic. Our room was over-heated, and we could not control the temperature of the radiator. There was a faint background smell of cigarette smoke in many places. It was hard to tell if it came from inside or out. Breakfast choices were certainly adequate, but I wouldn't say that they were four-star. Things like jams, spreads, butter etc came packaged. The quality from the coffee machine was erratic.

Disliked: Worst hotel stay I had for ages. Small, outdated room which definitely needs some renovation. Horrible unconformable bed with horrible pillow. Breakfast was very poor.

Disliked: Staff - totally unwelcoming, unfriendly simply not customer nor service oriented to the extent of being rude. From a reception employee whom I requested to please pass me our room key and she answer with “ get it yourself”. Now the key holder is a bit behind the reception desk and I thought going behind might be intrusive.Restaurant service personnel is even worse! People are angry for unknown reasons and brings wrong food orders. Out of 5 night only once did they get something ok but forgot amuse-bouche which they listed on their menu. We booked half board but the food was soo greasy, unhealthy, full of mushrooms, with ZERO consideration to allergies. Animal liver is served without an alternative for those with allergies. Saffron spiced food again without alternative. No steamed or boiled fresh vegetables. We opted for normal menu, however the 50 CHF paid for was not deducted considering their lack of alternatives.Menu says salmon on spinach, the salmon arrived but the spinach not. I made the service personnel aware THEN after I finished eating she asked “should I bring the spinach?”Children are totally ignored. No colouring sheet is given to children whilst waiting for dinner. Children are brought large plates of food same size as adult. Only fried potatoes chips and spaghetti is offered for children. Totally unhealthy! No starter for kids and the service lady riled her eyes when we requested cucumber or paprika or simply salad without dressing for our daughter.Salads are brought with dressing even though the request is no dressing. They don’t if one want dressing and which one. They just pour and bring.Rooms are too hot. Excess floor heating! We had the castle room with sunlight heating also so coming in the room from Skiing was like going into the oven.The whirlpool in our room was disgustingly dirty. Our daughter wanted to enjoy it but the dirty that came out of those wholes!!
