A beautiful and luxurious stay

Liked: Lovely peaceful location in the nooks, away from the hotel along a path and looking over the meadow. Nice meal in the tipi and breakfast in the old mill
Disliked: Clearer pictures showing the layout of the whole site for where the different rooms are. Clearer ability to book nook with hot tub.

One night at Tuddenham Mill

Liked: The room/bed/bathroom were all comfortable. The 'extras' in terms of sloe gin/toiletries and good quality coffee/tea were all excellent as were the evening meal/breakfast.
Disliked: The staff seemed overwhelmed...when we arrived the 'manager' was rushing out with a couple of meals leaving us to twiddle our thumbs...the TV came on and never worked or turned off...all night! We had to cover it with a towel but the light still disturbed us...we were told that we should have phoned/come to reception...both of which I did to no avail...we were then told in the morning there is always a member of staff on duty...a cleaner should have been there to sort the TV, apparently! Breakfast was fine...no toast/extra coffee offered however.Checked the bill to see we had been charged for two rather than one dog...no apology for either the TV or incorrect bill. Disappointing.

Great room and breakfast

Liked: Room was very attractive and bed was large and comfortable. Huge bathroom and everything worked well. We like modern rooms and bathrooms so it very much was to our taste. The whole hotel is smart and welcoming. The bar area is cosy and the dining room is upstairs with views of the river if you get a window table. Staff were universally friendly and helpful. Lots of parking and we would stay again.
Disliked: The partition between our patio and next door was a bit too rustic. It made the room feel enclosed when looking out towards the meadow. I am not sure these external sitting areas should be so "private" with a high enclosed fence between the patios. The tasting menu is overpriced for what it is. Good but not memorable.

comfortable stay, could do with...

Liked: The room was very spacious and quiet with an enormous bath to use!
Disliked: Arrived at the hotel 20 mins before check in time and was advised our room wasn’t ready so to have a drink in the bar. This was fine with us as we knew we had arrived early, however we were not then able to check into our room until 20 minutes after the check in time which meant we were sitting around for 40 minutes. Tried to order room service by WhatsApp as advised in the welcome pack, there was no response to our message. Then tried the phone in the room to call reception several times and there was no answer. We then decided to go down to reception to ask what was going on, when we went down they said they were short staffed and the person on reception had to go home early so no one was manning the phones. Ordered room service at the bar. When the food arrived there were items missing. We tried again to ring down to reception from the room and there was no answer! Walked down to reception for a second time to collect missing items which ultimately meant our food was cold. The tv remote in the room was very slow and didn’t respond to the tv immediately.
