Excellent, clean, quiet hotel just...

Liked: The hotel was conveniently located about a 15 min walk from The French Quarter. There were great restaurants located nearby for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The hotel staff were very accommodating and professional. The rooms were adequate with a mini fridge, a Keurig, and even a clothes “steamer”. The shower was huge and water pressure was excellent. I loved the cleanliness of the hotel- in every area - it was attention to detail. One of my favorite offerings was the lobby water with citrus fruit in it. The valet parking was undergoing a new process which slowed it a bit but considering the change- the staff handled it very well. We were offered coffee for our short 10 min wait. Overall, this hotel is top notch. Just far enough away from the noise, hustle and bustle to feel peaceful in an otherwise vibrant area.

Liked: We liked the location of the hotel. Checking in was as expected. (Only one door key was available, we prefer 2. We were told that we would get another one , butthat did not happen.)
Disliked: The room was dark, due to the lighting. The request for no "down" feathers in the bedding was not done before our checking into the room, due to allergies. (We had to have housekeeping come in to make the requested changes.) The toliet bowl appeared to be dirty, and the toliet paper holder was broken. The shower gel container dispenser was broken and had to be replaced. The room phone did not work and was never fixed even after we mentioned it to the front desk. The door handle on the refrigerator in the room was broken. The safe was found locked and had to be opened for us to use. The large mirror hanging on the wall to the right of the bathroom came off the wall when I accidentally bumped into it, and had to be reattached. (Not attached very well.) One of the screw covers on the back of the toliet was missing. The remote TV control has "tape" covering where the batteries are inserted to keep them in place.This was once in the Hilton group, and I was told that they decided to go independent. It looks like in reality, I think it was Hilton, that decided to remove them instead. (They are still using Hilton washcloths.)I would not recommend this hotel and I will not stay there ever again.
