Lovely place but really cold...

Liked: Location was great and so was the house itself. Really lovely place.
Disliked: Our room was so cold, you could not sit comfortably in the room without getting under the covers, during the night my nose was freezing ( the only visible part!) We had to use the hairdryer to warm us up. The room itself was lovely but dated. The shower was a mixer on the bath taps.

Beautiful characterful and comfortable hotel...

Liked: We received a really warm welcome and were shown to our room (Pencarrow). All the relevant information was given re access/keys/wifi/breakfast etc and we were invited to ask for help if needed. WiFi was good throughout our stay. The room was full of character and very spacious, with a separate seating area. It was spotlessly clean and had lovely soft towels and additional pillows. The complementary toiletries were of good quality. The shower took a little while to get hot, but it did after a minute or two, so give it a chance. The room was lovely and warm and cosy. The breakfast was plentiful, hot and a great choice. I have stayed in hotels that have charged twice the price that we paid for this and this one beats them hands down. I will definitely return. Really well placed for the Camel Trail and Eden Project which was the reason for our short stay, but excited to come again to explore more of this area of Cornwall.
