Disappointing

Liked: Only got real breakfast one day out of three. The chief was sick, and apparently the other people who worked there could not serve breakfast. I did get a sandwich these days, but not more.

Bad

Liked: Nothing
Disliked: I would never give a hotel a bad review because i have always found something to redeem it but this hotel has broken that. The room was dark and dated with heavy curtains that we broken. The wardrobe was also broken and the TV was stuck on BBC1 and the remote was broken. The bed had a duvet cover but not a duvet inside it, there was a old mustard coloured blanket inside it.The bathroom.....The shower had no power or hot water, the plug for the bath was broken and the one for the sink was missing so you couldnt even have a flannel wash. There was a electric box on the wall that looked like something from the 1970s and we were frightened to go near it.The room was not made up for the 2nd night of our stay.Breakfast was a bowl of cereal and coffee so strong i thought my head would fall off.

Conveniently located for visiting oxford

Liked: It was very convenient for getting to oxford. Small walk to the bustop to catch the no 3 bus that run every 20 minutes and doesn't have the price tag of staying in Oxford. Staff were very friendly. The accommodation in fairness could do with a bit of a spruce up but was nice and clean. Rooms were a good size. Perfect for us who just need a place to sleep
Disliked: Although it was great having the bar downstairs the music was a bit too loud if you wanted to go to sleep b4 11 o clock.

Much better than expected, spacious...

Liked: Spacious and bright bedroom and bathroom. Decent choice of warm breakfasts, we liked the scrambled eggs with smoked salmon. Millie in the restaurant was particularly friendly and helpful. A couple of issues when we arrived were dealt with promptly. The hotel is a bit run down but is very good value for money.
