A bit mid
Liked: loved how modern it was and how big the room was
Disliked: didn't appreciate what seemed to be a lack of communication with the staff between each other and departments, when we showed up into the room we still had a double bed although we had requested a twin room however as we were going back down to ask about it, someone from housekeeping showed up to change the arrangement. We also noticed that for an extra $40 that we could have a 2pm checkout rather than the standard time so we asked reception if this was going to be possible for our room which it was so we payed at the time when we asked. when it came to our checkout day we received a call on the rooms phone asking when we're planning to checkout as it was the standard time and when we replied around 2pm because that's what we had payed for they seem very shocked. later we went to get breakfast and then came back to pack and finally checkout as we got into the lift to go up stairs we couldn't because our key card had been deactivated. although all of these were fixed quickly and easily it would have been nice to not happen as we had stated everything and seemed like there was some poor communication behind the scenes that unfortunately impacted our experience

Very good
Liked: Comfy beds, clean room. Hotel near to many food outlets (cafes, halal, vegetarian, non-halal), and a supermarket(closes at 7pm). 5-10 mins walk from bus stops. Walkable distance to CBD and many attractions.
Disliked: Room service isn't good. Requested for room to be cleaned, but they only changed the towels and left everything else untidy. There are no room slippers and no mineral water provided. There isn't a proper drop-off area as well. But overall isn't too bad.

Disappointed and poor value for...
Liked: the staff are friendly and helpful. The location is good, although with the walk bridge across to the Viaduct and CBD being out of action, connection to this areas is not convenient and there's no mention of that in the Travelodge blurb.
Disliked: I could understand the following if Tr was a budget hotel but it is not. I was appalled by the fact that rooms are not serviced daily and are only done after the 3rd day. I was the for 3 nights and as we'd been ill, I asked for my clean bedding and linen on the third day. Clean bathroom linen was was supplied but the bed was not and had only had the top cover pulled up and the bed was a red mess with the same linen.Booking.co. says the roo.s have daily housekeeping . there is no bar and the attached Tuck Shop that supports Travelodge with food and coffee closes around 2.30/3.00.The fridge is do small we couldn't fit a takeawaypizza box. The lowest temperature wasn't enough to properly chill good or drinks. the seating area for 2 had only one chair and was not 'a seating' area.No bottled water.
