For a low class hotel it wasn't completely horrible.

Liked: Upon check out the front desk attendant asked if we were going to the Monterey Bay Aquarium and we were able to purchase our tickets instead of waiting in line at the aquarium.
Disliked: I asked for non-smoking adjoining rooms when I booked. I called to verify and they said they could get the rooms straight across from each other. Upon check in this was not true and the room I had my baby in smelled horrible of cigarette smoke and I don't know what else. The crib was not setup nor were the sheets put in the room for it. The room gets extremely hot and humid, no a/c.

Liked: Great location close to Monterey Bay Aquarium, Fisherman’s Wharf, Downtown Monterey, Seaside & Sand City. The room had easy access to the pool area from the sliding door. Free wi-fi.
Disliked: The front door to the room is not very safe. Sound and air comes right through because it has an old school window with 3 glass slats and a screen. The back door is sliding glass that locks, but could probably be opened by force. The bathroom is small and old school. I couldn’t get the wi-fi to work on my laptop, but it worked on my phone.
