Travelodge by Wyndham Monterey Bay, Monterey

For a low class hotel it wasn't completely horrible.

Liked: Upon check out the front desk attendant asked if we were going to the Monterey Bay Aquarium and we were able to purchase our tickets instead of waiting in line at the aquarium.
Disliked: I asked for non-smoking adjoining rooms when I booked. I called to verify and they said they could get the rooms straight across from each other. Upon check in this was not true and the room I had my baby in smelled horrible of cigarette smoke and I don't know what else. The crib was not setup nor were the sheets put in the room for it. The room gets extremely hot and humid, no a/c.

Bad customer service!!!

Liked: The room was clean
Disliked: Customer service was bad. I was checking in, and a gentleman walked up to the counter. Start conversating with the girl about a cash deposit. She assumed that he was with me. And we all said that we were ping separate. There was another lady standing there at the counter to and she said we are separate.The hotel charged my card for his room. Not good at all!!! I will not ever stay at that hotel ever again.

Great value good stay overall

Liked: The suite is actually a pretty good size. We were happy to find out it came with a refrigerator and a microwave. I had only ready about the refrigerator.
Disliked: We couldn’t figure out the heater. So the room was a little cold.

Superb

Liked: Well located off the main road, good parking.
Disliked: Bathroom - shower cubicle was a bit small

Great weekend stay!

Liked: Room was spacious and clean. Area was quiet. Great location with shopping areas nearby and right off the highway.
Disliked: Water pressure was a bit low.

Staff and beds were great...

Liked: The restaurant and staff amazing. Your reception staff so nice. The beds and bedding were comfortable.
Disliked: The floors were filthy. I bathed my grandsons and five minutes later there feet were black. Doors and area around the doors and light switches filthy

Hotel is clean staff are...

Liked: The property was very clean. And quiet walls were well insulated.
Disliked: There was an empty space in the room that served no purpose. They could have at least added a small couch or an extra chair. The bathroom doors distance from the toilet was a nuisance.
