A/C barely worked; price booked was $188 - ended up being $277 due to $50 extra to park. For those prices remodels and upgrades are desperately needed.
Liked: Area.
Disliked: A/C was bad; price way too high.

Get what you pay for. No bells or whistles but for the price I would stay there again.
Liked: Inexpensive.
Disliked: Nothing.

Very good
Liked: I recently stayed at this small, older hotel, and while it may not be the most modern, it more than makes up for it with cleanliness and outstanding service. The rooms were spotless, with fresh towels provided every day, and any small requests—like closing a window gap—were taken care of immediately. The staff was incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Their attentiveness and warm hospitality made my stay truly enjoyable. If you're looking for a cozy, well-kept place with great service, this is a fantastic choice!
Disliked: Old furniture, old windows.

Superb
Liked: The staffs were exceptionally friendly and flexible. Their smile made a foreign traveller feel like at home.
Disliked: Not much. The building was quite old but the hotel seemed to maintain it well.

Poor rooms. Avoid until then...
Liked: Location was fine. Staff were nice.
Disliked: The room I got was terrible. Did not feel clean. Hot water in bathroom barely worked. Windows couldNot be opened at all. Overheated and difficult to sleep. Super disappointed. Should have asked for another room when I first saw it but was so jet lagged and not thinking straight. Travel page I think are renovating three property. They should not rent an in renovated room while doing so. Really ruins their reputation. Also the price because of a large conference nearby was very high for what was on offer

Historical building representing the beauty...
Liked: We arrived very late in evening, and the front desk host Derrick was just such a breath of fresh air! He greeted everyone that walked in with a great smile, and genuine enthusiasm. I went with my 15 year old and Derrick gave him a history lesson about the original hotel and the amazing story behind the building and architecture. He even gave him some “homework” to turn into him. I hope he can know that we appreciated his welcoming personality and incredible love of the Harrison Hotel, and Chicago history. It’s so obvious Derrick takes pride in the position he has! I also liked the layout of the beds in the room! Seemed more personal!
Disliked: The heating water pipes in the room we had were very hot to the touch and definitely not meant for families with young curious kids. I am not a kid and got curious! Lol Also first hotel room we’ve ever stayed in that had no bible in the room…

Convenient, clean, and friendly.
Liked: Location and welcoming lobby and helpful staff. Room was perfectly adequate. I had a nice kitchenette. It was clean.
Disliked: I was too close to the elevator and the heating system made a fair bit of noise. If staying in the winter I’d Recommend a noise app on your phone or earplugs just in case. Rooms higher up were much better sound wise for sleeping.

Superb
Liked: Having both a fridge and a microwave in the room was a very nice extra. The staff was also very helpful.
Disliked: Sometimes the door would just not open, although the door was unlocked. It seemed that you needed to wait for a specific click and then turn the handle. We figured that out but it took some time.
