Exceptional

Liked: Always fantastic at the front desk, always clean. Safety first with parking and keycards. Air movement in room was good. Nice to have a recliner and a table with 4 chairs.
Disliked: Bed was a little firm for me.

Motel from hell.

Liked: The location was good.
Disliked: We were in our room watching Sunday night football. We received a call from the front desk saying they had a noise complaint coming from our room. My stage 4 cancer patient brother took the call and was very upset by this. The guy from the front desk also stated the people complaining had been complaining all week. He told them this room had several different tenants that week. I also requested a room with a bathtub and was told they could meet my request...... they didn't!!! Won't stay here again!!!!

Very nice hotel with amenties...

Liked: Good location for Mayo Clinic and Convention Center (I was at a conference at the CC). Free parking in secure garage is nice. Room was large with kitchen facilitites and most of what you would need to cook--including dishwasher and garbage diposal. Didn't use the cooking kits you can borrow, but seems a nice touch. Spacious bathroom with pleasantly-scented toiletries bolted to the wall of shower (that is not a complaint, just info). Grab bars in shower (all hotels should do this!) and relatively low tub to step into. Big enough for easy use of walker & maybe wheelchair. I am no longer mobility impaired, but I notice & appreciate those things. Hotel was quiet, too, I could only hear some up above footfalls, not water running, toilets flushing, talking neighbors or TV, or the elevator. This is a good thing! Comfortable beds that are high, but not too high. The recliner in the room was a nice surprise. Usual breakfast offerings. Spyhouse Coffee is a good touch as it offers morning/daytime beverages & then evening beverages. This & the evening music, while not to my taste, makes it seem less like a deserted hotel lobby, more like a lively event. One evening a group was gathered around a fire pit, which also adds life to the experience. Overall, a good place to stay for many reasons.
Disliked: Desk staff disappeared for 15 minutes or so one evening, leaving 3 strangers standing around looking at one another. No ice bucket in room--told to use one of the cooking pots, which seems odd in such a property. Staff didn't mention that room refresh only happens every other day. No luggage rack in room, but lots of drawers, etc. FYI: Be aware that parking/exit is very tight! To exit, turn left and go through adjacent parking lot for easier turns. Had to wait for a garbage truck to move out of the way to exit one morning, which isn't bad unless you are trying to be on time for your Mayo appointment or conference start.

Wonderful, as usual!

Liked: Everything was wonderful, as usual. This is our preferred hotel when we have annual Mayo appointments. The king suite we booked had a fridge/freezer that wasn't working, but hotel staff moved us to an equally nice room that same night at the same rate. Geoffrey was very apologetic, and made sure we were satisfied.
Disliked: The coffee in the room was very poor quality, and no complimentary coffee was offered in the lobby since there is a new coffee shop attached to the hotel. The coffee at breakfast was great - just wish it was a complimentary offer to guests at any time of day.

Liked: Excellent shuttle service, outstanding staff, beautiful spacious suites.
Disliked: I had to check out a day early and I didn't receive a refund for the days I did not stay. The hotel said I would.
