Comfortable , quiet and convenient

Liked: I decided to stay here because of the proximity to the Christchurch Train station at Addington . The hotel kindly runs a free shuttle service to the train station in order to catch the Trans Alpine or the Coastal Pacific . This saved getting a taxi at 6 am in the morning ! We were upgraded to a one bedroom unit that had a small but very well equipped kitchenette that enabled us to prepare a quick dinner and breakfast . The hotel , although close to a very busy arterial road has retro fitted doubled glazed windows meaning that traffic noise was non existent and we slept so well . We arrived very early but this was no problem as they kindly stored our luggage and helped us with various things and by giving directions .
Disliked: Insect screens on the windows but this seems to be an omission at most accommodation places .

Disliked: Thecosst changed daily. Had to extend my stay and the daily cost went up. Not cool.

Liked: Easy location from the airport. Close to shops and the park. Also close to the station if catching an early train. Rooms are a decent size with kitchenette facilities and a great tv selection. Had a laundry too, always useful when travelling around.

Comfortable and great location for...

Liked: Thank you so much for a wonderful stay. The drop off and pick up shuttle to the alpine train was fantastic and a real point of difference. So, good that we chose to stay a 2nd night after our return trip on the train back to Christchurch. Hence taking advantage of the wonderful pick up service from the train.
Disliked: Nothing. It was fantastic

Liked: Friendly staff, great range of amenities in room, clean, heaters on the mattress
Disliked: I went to get an extra blanket in the closet. The closet was blocked by a big heavy chair. When I got the blanket out, it smelled musty and I couldn’t use it. The whole closet smelled like that.

Disliked: Carpet had just been cleaned and was still damp and there was a strong chemical smell? It was too cold to sleep with a window open!

Great location for Addington raceway...

Liked: We went to the NZ Trotting Cup at Addington so it was a great location for that event, also close to town and Riccarton.
Disliked: Decor just a little bland.
