Liked: Tótem is located in an absolutely amazing area, surrounded by plenty of restaurants and shopping options. The property itself is truly stunning, with spacious and thoughtfully designed rooms. Breakfast is simply outstanding—an experience in itself.
Disliked: My experience with Tótem fell far below expectations. After a five-hour drive, we arrived on a Sunday night, only to face what no hotel guest should ever endure. Upon checking in, I went to our room while my husband returned the rental car. After showering, I reached for the hair dryer, and to my horror, found a used, dirty piece of underwear tangled with it. I immediately dressed and contacted reception, who sent a cleaner to remove the item. The cleaner apologized, citing an oversight due to the hotel being fully booked. When I went to the front desk, the receptionist claimed there was nothing they could do as the hotel was full. They offered either a downgrade or a room cleaning as solutions. When my husband arrived, he had to insist on compensation, eventually securing a late checkout. Otherwise, the hotel’s initial response was limited to offering drink vouchers, which we didn’t even use. While the staff the following day was much more attentive and helpful, the lack of appropriate response, poor compensation, and the dismissive attitude we encountered during such a shocking situation were unacceptable for a property that markets itself as a luxury boutique hotel. This experience was far below the standard I expected.

Liked: Fabulous location, well appointed rooms, god good and chilled out bar area. Daniel the nicest Leeds United supporter you could wish to meet.
Disliked: Maybe more drawers (bedside) would be useful
